March 18 Chamber Minute
Rosey in for another Chamber Minute, I have learned a lot about the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce these past few months as the new Executive Director. I have learned some of what it takes to keep a chamber ticking, The Paid staff and the many Volunteers it takes to work all the committees and projects the Chamber wants to be a part of each year. We have so Many quality people who have served this Chamber before me, One Such Person was Pam Cottrell. Pam was our Office manager and Leadership Coos Coordinator for over 17 years, Daily making impacts that people still talk about today, she served on many non-profit boards, including United Way of SW Oregon. She created many Chamber events while she was here such as the BACC Golf Scramble, the Passport to Charleston and the Monster Mystery Mash. We are saddened to hear about the loss of Pam Cottrell. She was a tireless champion of the Chamber of Commerce; Jolene who worked with her for years said this: “Pam was truly one of a kind, the very best and she will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We pray for comfort during this time of grief. “ Jolene Krossman, Office Manager Bay Area Chamber. We will continue serving the Chamber and its members in the best possible ways to ensure Pam is smiling down watching over the Chamber she loved so much.
